Why living knowledge matters now.
How can communities across Africa and the wider world identify, preserve and responsibly apply indigenous knowledge to contemporary climate, food, health and community challenges?
The conversation will look at practical examples from Ghana, elsewhere in Africa and beyond, and at the ethics of working with community knowledge: consent, ownership, benefit sharing and the danger of extracting knowledge from the people who hold it.
Ghanaian and African perspectives will remain central. At least one contributor will hold or practise community knowledge directly.

Speakers have not yet been confirmed. The planned panel brings together a Ghanaian community knowledge holder or practitioner, an African researcher or practitioner, and an international specialist, with a moderator guiding the conversation.
Sharing knowledge in the webinar does not transfer ownership or grant permission for reuse. Speakers will not be asked to disclose sacred, restricted or medicinal knowledge.
