The tools
Each tool connects to RFI’s work on community knowledge, relational thinking and ethical research. We release a tool only when it has been tested and reviewed.
Document community and indigenous knowledge with care: who shared it, what it is, how it is passed on, and what the knowledge holder has agreed can be done with it.
About Knowledge KeeperMap a challenge, the people and institutions involved, the relationships between them and where change might begin.
About Systems CanvasA lightweight offline companion for ethical fieldwork: research questions, a consent log, field notes and an evidence register.
About FieldKitHow the tools work
The tools are free. Any contribution is voluntary and never required to use, install or export.
Once opened or installed from this website, the tools keep working without an internet connection.
What you enter stays in your browser on your device. RFI does not automatically receive your project records.
Consent, access restrictions and the rights of knowledge holders and communities are part of how the tools work, not an afterthought.
Designed for modest devices and low bandwidth, with clear labels, keyboard access and readable contrast.
The tools are available only from relationalfuturesinstitute.org. There are no app-store versions and no copies hosted elsewhere.
