Transparency

Open about how support is used.

RFI will report openly on how support is used. Updates will be published on this page when there is something real to report. No updates have been published yet.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is a contribution required?

No. Giving is entirely voluntary. Everything RFI offers freely, including its publications and resources, stays free, with nothing locked behind a payment.

Which payment method can I use?

MTN MoMoPay, using merchant ID 694616, in Ghana cedis; or PayPal, using the “Contribute via PayPal” button. For a grant, sponsorship or other arrangement, please contact RFI.

How can I request an acknowledgement?

Email with the date, amount, payment method and any reference you used. RFI will check these against its payment records before replying. RFI makes no claim that contributions are tax-deductible.

Can I support a specific project?

Not through this page yet. A project will be added here only once it has an approved plan and budget. To discuss supporting a particular programme, please get in touch.

Does choosing “RFI Digital Commons” restrict my contribution?

It tells RFI what you hope your contribution will help, and RFI will take it into account. It does not create a separate restricted fund, and it is not passed to MTN or PayPal.

Will this website confirm my payment?

No. This website cannot see payments, so it cannot confirm that a payment has gone through. Please keep the confirmation from MTN or PayPal.

Is it safe?

RFI will never ask for your PIN, a one-time code (OTP), your wallet details or card details. You enter these only in MTN’s or PayPal’s own secure screens.
